Day 54

Back Up Next

We finally got Elbee running on WVO. No, seriously.

In order run the system for the first time, we needed some virgin vegetable oil.  I walked  to the local store and bought 13 bottles of vegetable oil, and three Gatoraids.  It was embarrassing to buy so many Gatoraids at one time.
Jeff is soldering up the main control panel.  I still don't have a Frybrid shirt.
This is the 50' retractable hose with the cam lever cap.

Once the system seemed to work, Chris and I went to Costco and bought 14 "Cubbies" (Rhymes with Dubbies) of pure soy oil.  The thinking was to test the system with pure oil before I would introduce confounding variables associated with waste oil.  It was a good thing, because it established that the system ran perfectly.
I had waited a long time for this moment.  I refused to Christen Elbee with the sticker until it actually ran as advertised.
Ahh, it looks good.
