Day 32

Back Up Next

-         Farmers Market in Ballard with Chris and Halle.

-         It’s a wonderfully big market with street musicians dressed up like Amish. We buy lots of fruit and veggies. A one pound onion.

-         The kids eat a whole pint of raspberries all at once.

-         We go back to Golden Gardens, where we left Elbee in the morning. Chris had come early in the morning with Halle while we were still having breakfast. It seems that he made an effort to hang out with his little girl. Cute but unexpected.

-         We decide to try and BBQ together and get some beautiful fish at the back of a liquor store.

-         Turns out all the grills at the park are taken and so Steve and Chris go off in search of a portable grill which would be nice to have anyhow.

-         After a long wait they come back with two tin foil pans full of chintzy coals. It’s not looking so good for that food that I prepared and I suggest to grill in the convection oven instead…they want to give it a go outside and so it happens…

-         After a late lunch Chris buys the kids some popsicles which promptly commence dripping all over everything. He goes and buys some bottled water and pokes little holes into the cap to make a sprinkler…

We all go to the Farmer's market.  The girls have a great time and eat lots of sweet things!  Halle seems to snap right in to the family flow, it almost seems like they were old friends -- then of course, they get tired, cranky and start fighting - but that is all part of the fun!
Farmer's Market
The kids were having a screaming fest inside Chris's truck.  I fueled the fire by screaming along with them.  The windows were closed, and it was LOUD in there!
Halle being cute!
