Day 47

Back Up Next

-         OK, so it looks like there are about two days left for the veg. installation. It’s looked like there are about two days left for about two weeks. Every day when I ask “so how are we doing?” I get the same straight faced answer, “yep, we are doing great, got a lot of work done today. Looks like about two more days…”

-         We spend the night at Commodore park again. I actually think it’s very nice there, train bridge and all. We can park alongside the parking lot there so one of our sides faces what they call Salmon Bay. You can hear the ringing of the locks every time a ship goes through, it’s lovely. It’s a little bit more quiet there than at the Leschi Marina. At Leschi you have the Joggers, the bicyclist, the walkers, cars whizzing by. It’s beautiful but very busy. At Commodore park all you have are trains every so often and some people walking their dogs.

-         The kids and I went to the Japanese Garden, which was very nice. Lilli kept saying how it looked “just like a movie”, what she meant was that it was so nicely put together and “perfect” looking that it could have been a movie set. We bought some food and fed the Koi, which the kids loved. We tried to feed the little baby fish which was very difficult since the big ones are faster and steel all the pellets away…

-         It turned out to be a very hot day and for the first time, of course, I didn’t bring bathing suits…

I am getting ready to put on the "waste vegetable oil" license plate holder...  But I will not jinx it and put it on until we have actually run on WVO!

This picture was taken at one of our regular sleep places near the Fisherman's Terminal.  We had a great view of the water and a train over a bridge to remind us that we were sleeping in a van, down by the river.

Notice the grease stain on my buttocks!
