Day 23

-         Steve has finally almost finished work, dare I say it…this means that for the first time since the beginning of our journey we are not looking to stay at a place with Wi/Fi. And what do you know we actually found a beautiful spot at the foot of Mt. Hood. It’s 4:30 pm and Steve took the girls to the office with him, then to the playground…Jonah fell asleep a little while after they left. I am making dinner. I so tired I should take a nap with the little man…the sleep couch isn’t all that comfortable and usually on little Jonah wakes up at night…

-         The mood is very different since Steve stopped working. On one hand we actually had a chance to explore Portland in a way that doesn’t happen with the husband, I am sad to say…but it’s been much more relaxed and much more like vacation…

-         There are big Spruces everywhere and kids ride their bikes by themselves. I want to go see the sights but somehow I don’t think we’ll manage…

-         Had a good fight last night about “spotting.” Apparently those fights are quite typical, we were told in the store/office…well, I said, next time I will just lift my shirt to make him stop, maybe that’ll work…

-         Steve and the girls went out to rent a go-cart and now they are all running after whoever is driving…including the little man.

-         Our new neighbors came back in the meantime. 3 teenagers and a dad from the way it looks. They have been out the whole time…now they are off, 3 swollen back packs and a bottle of detergent on their backs.

-         Seems as if this place is crawling with Christians, which makes me wonder right there…have we inadvertently discovered a nest? Anyhow it’s very pretty out here so we don’t mind using their facilities…

-         Last night we had our first campfire, Marshmallows and all…I can’t believe what good sports the kids have been…

This picture is not too clear, but it is of Elbee overheating while going up Mt. Hood.  We wonder how she will handle the Rockies.
A little TLC, and she makes it up the mountain with out too much buzzing and flashing red lights.

Here is JuJu at the top of the mountain and Jonah happy to get to the top!
This place is beutiful!

Jonah is up the creek with NO paddle!
The suspension problems are still unresolved.  It seems that I have the wrong shackle and the Anti-sway bar is seemingly upside down!

But at least I have bushings!

WE finally found MOSSY ROCK!!!!
