Today we have to make our way back to Seattle. We check
out – just wave and smile, Steve heard s/o say – and park
ourselves at the beach again. We leave the bus, which feels kind
of strange, and take off, kite and buckets and all…
-
Steve likes the beach all right but looks a little
forlorn and not sure what to do with himself after he is
finished flying the kite with Jonah.
-
I felt a little uneasy about leaving, having crashed into
our neighbor’s Fifth-Wheel…but he never came back out and so
Steve decided to ignore the whole incident…I am still impressed
by how easily we can get ourselves into trouble by taking just
ONE wrong turn. We have a scratch on the right side from I don’t
know what in Eugene. Then we have a dent on the left from the
tree at Oak Harbor…nothing from the accident with the
neighbor…what’s next?
-
After a beautiful day at the beach, sandcastle building
and all, we have dinner in Elbee – Steve called it the Love Bus
= LB = Elbee J in
memory of my Honda Pilot which we used to call the Love Truck –
with King Salmon, red mashed potatoes, a beautiful salad…
-
On our way back towards Seattle we stop at a Wal-Mart,
which it turns out has a corporate rule that allows any RV to
use their parking lots…we are in Auburn, WA at a Supermall…what
a strange, strange world, I think to myself as we pull up along
another RV…very strange…
