We stay overnight at Commodore Park for one last time.
Early in the morning, we move to Golden Gardens and spend the
day there. The beach is bustleling like all the other weekends,
pulsing with the sound of drums a little ways away.
-
The kids play with Halle one last time, Jonah and Halle
hanging out like old buddies, sitting in the sand, for me to
make Mermaids out of them.
-
They both come with me for Jonah to go to the bathroom,
telling each other funky stories only they can follow, and
playing baby ducks on the way, quack, quack…
-
In the evening we have one last dinner at the Goodwin
house, with homemade tomato salad that rocks my taste buds.
-
The kids are all very cranky, tired as anything.

After making plans to get together for breakfast the next
morning, Timothy walks with us to see Elbee before we leave the
next day and is duly impressed with the sheer size of our “home” |
